Principal's Message

Dear Kenwood Families, Students, and Community,

Welcome to an exciting new chapter at Kenwood K–8 Center, a school that continues to thrive through dedication, unity, and excellence. As we open the doors to the 2025–2026 school year, we proudly embrace this year’s theme: “Limited Edition: One of a Kind.”

This theme reminds us that every student, every staff member, and every day is one of a kind, unique, unrepeatable, and worthy of celebration. This year isn’t just another school year, it’s a limited edition opportunity to grow, lead, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

As we reflect on the 2024–2025 school year, we are filled with pride. Our students reached new academic heights, our programs expanded in both depth and creativity, and our school spirit was stronger than ever. Together, we achieved:

Received multiple accolades and recognitions for our academic progress and school culture

Achieved a significant increase in student attendance, reflecting our commitment to engagement and belonging

Implemented high-yield instructional strategies & programs that led to notable gains in academic student performance, resulting in Kenwood earning another “A” rating

Expanded enrichment and leadership opportunities that empowered students to shine beyond the classroom

A strong, supportive partnership between our school and families

These accomplishments are a testament to the passion, hard work, and collaboration that define the Kenwood community.

Looking ahead, we’re more inspired than ever to make this year meaningful. Whether you’re just starting your journey in pre-kindergarten or preparing to transition to high school, this year will be your moment to shine, your one-of-a-kind chance to take bold steps, build lasting friendships, and leave your mark.

Let’s embrace this limited edition year with purpose, pride, and positivity. Together, we’ll make the 2025–2026 school year truly unforgettable.

With Kenwood Pride,

Yolanda Oliu
